Planting Projects

Since 1990 ReLeaf has planted and replaced over 1,500 trees and contributed over $229,000 to the beautification and re-greening of Greenville. The following is a list of recent plating projects:


2014-2015 Projects
216 trees were planted in the College View Neighborhood as described below:

2012-2013 Projects
  • 400 seedlings of Swamp Chestnut Oaks, Red Buckeyes and Triadant Maples were planted in the forested areas of River Park North
  • 100 trees including Black Gum ( Black Tupelo ) , White Oak, Bald Cypress, Southern Magnolia, Tulip Poplar, Washington Hawthorne and flowering Dogwood were planted elsewhere at River Park North and in adjacent neighborhoods north of the Tar River
  • 87 trees planted along Regency Boulevard including Trident Maples, Ginkgo, Willow Oak, Live Oak, and Bosque Elms
2011-2012 Projects
  • Community Roots Day/Moyewood - 76 Trees (Live Oaks, Blackgum, Willow Oaks, Pistache, and Pecan trees)
  • Greensprings Park - 33 Trees (Bald Cypress, White Oaks, Red Oaks, and Blackgum trees)
  • 5th Street – 25 Trees – (White Oaks, Willow Oaks, Red Oaks, and Gingko trees)
  • W. 4th Street - 19 Trees – (Willow Oaks, White Oaks, and Nuttal Oaks)
  • Cherry Oaks North – 11 Nuttal Oaks
  • Uptown Greenville – 11 Trees (Nuttal Oaks and Linden trees)
