Oaks on Fourth

Oaks on Fourth Street between Evans and Cotanche Streets
ReLeaf plants shade (canopy) trees in cooperation with the City of Greenville. In the Fall of 2008 such a planting project was carried out in uptown Greenville with the planting of a number of oak saplings on Second and Fourth Streets. Trees planted on Fourth street between Evans and Cotanche are shown here.
In a few years, these trees will be shading the adjacent parking lot. A short walk east on Fourth Street to Reade Circle shows the vision of the ReLeaf planting projects. These magnificent oak trees, resplendent in their fall colors, were planted in 1991 as the very first project of the newly formed ReLeaf organization. Great oaks from little acorns, indeed!
